§ 8.12.100. Removal—Exception.

  • No provision of this chapter shall be construed to prevent any person from composting in the rear yard of his or her residence, provided that such composting does not constitute a nuisance to neighboring property because it is injurious to health, or is offensive to the senses. Nor shall any provision of this chapter limit the right of any person to donate or sell his or her recyclable materials to any other person, firm or organization who collects such recyclable materials in the city. However, the exceptions contained in this section shall not relieve such person from subscribing for collection and disposal services as required by Section 8.12.060.
