§ 8.12.030. Solid waste stream—What constitutes.

    Solid Waste Stream. Solid waste is comprised of recyclable materials, compostable materials and the remaining garbage, which cannot be recycled or composted. The following is a list, in alphabetical order, of the categories, which constitute the solid waste stream:

    1.

    Chemicals, which include, but are not limited to, paints, motor oils and lubricants, household hazardous waste and universal waste.

    2.

    Construction and demolition materials, which include but are not limited to wood, cardboard, sheet rock, asphalt, soils, landscaping and green waste plant debris, rock, ceramics, concrete and brick.

    3.

    Food scraps, which include, but are not limited to, animal, fruit and vegetable waste resulting from the preparation, storage, handling or consumption of such items.

    4.

    Glass, which includes, but is not limited to, glass containers and window glass.

    5.

    Green waste, which includes, but is not limited to, leaves, cuttings, and trimmings from trees, shrubs and grass, plant debris, branches up to six inches in diameter and other compostable material as defined in Section 8.12.020.

    6.

    Manures, which include, but are not limited to, livestock and horse manure.

    7.

    Metals, which include, but are not limited to, cans, parts from abandoned vehicles, plumbing, fences, metal doors and screens.

    8.

    Paper, which includes, but is not limited to, newsprint, office paper, junk mail, ledger paper, computer paper and corrugated cardboard.

    9.

    Plastic and rubber which include, but are not limited to, beverage containers, rigid and film plastic packaging.

    10.

    Sewage sludge, which includes semisolid material as precipitated from sanitary sewage treatment facilities.

    11.

    Soils, which include, but are not limited to, excavation soils from barren or developed land, and excess soils from yards.

    12.

    Textiles, which include, but are not limited to, clothing, upholstery and pieces of fabric.

    13.

    Wood, which includes, but is not limited to, lumber, pallets, stumps and tree branches larger than three inches in diameter.
