§ 6.30.030. Permit—Term and renewal.

A.

All taxicab permits and taxicab driver's permits issued by the city shall expire on the thirtieth day of June of each year, and may be renewed each year only upon compliance with Sections 6.05.090, 6.30.020 and 6.30.025 of this title.

B.

As part of the application for the renewal of a taxicab driver's permit, the applicant shall provide all of the documentation required by Section 6.30.025 of this code except as provided below.

C.

In the case of the renewal of a taxicab driver's permit, a negative test result from another jurisdiction may be submitted in satisfaction of the testing requirements contained in Section 6.30.025(D) provided that the negative test is less than one year old and provided that the driver has not tested positive for a controlled substance specified in Part 40, Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations subsequent to the date of the negative test result.
