§ 11.68.020. Resident parking permits.

    General. The finance department is responsible for issuance of parking permits to residents in a permit-parking area designated in accordance with Section 11.68.010.

    B.

    Number Limit. One permit shall be allowed for each vehicle registered at a residence within the designated area. In no case, however, shall more than four permits be issued for one housing unit.

    C.

    Issuance. The finance director shall either grant or deny a parking permit within ten working days from receiving a valid application. If the permit is granted, it shall be issued in accordance with this chapter, and is valid for the period of time established in the resolution creating the permit area. If the permit is denied, the written reasons for the denial shall be provided to the applicant, in person or by mail, within five days of the date of such denial.

    D.

    Fee. The fee for a permit for each registered vehicle is that established in the city's master fee schedule. The fee is nonrefundable.

    E.

    Display. The permit shall be displayed as a decal affixed to the left rear bumper of the vehicle, or to the rear fender of any two-wheeled vehicle, for which it has been issued.

    F.

    Record. The finance department shall maintain a record of the number of parking permits issued to each location, the names of permit holders, the license numbers of vehicles for which a permit has been issued, the number of the permit, and a notation of the documents checked to establish residence and vehicle ownership.

    G.

    Revocation. The finance department may revoke the parking permit of any person known to no longer be eligible for a permit. Written notice shall be given to the permit holder of the revocation and the reasons therefor. Upon receipt of such notice the permit shall be removed from the individual vehicle.
