§ 11.16.040. Signal installation and location.

  • A.

    The city engineer, upon consideration of the directives for traffic control devices adopted by council resolution, traffic counts, field observation, and other pertinent information, may recommend locations for the installation of traffic signals to prevent or relieve traffic congestion or to protect life or property from exceptional hazard.

    B.

    The city engineer shall install and maintain traffic signals at those intersections and other places identified by council resolution.
